An injury time goal by Michiel Kramer ensured Feyenoord beat NEC Nijmegen 2-1 and maintained their perfect start to the season.

nec-fey-djdjFeyenoord had the chance to open up a nine-point gap over defending champions PSV if they won in Nijmegen on Sunday, but despite dominating the early stages it was NEC who went into the break ahead thanks to a goal by Mohamed Rayhi. The winger was lucky to see the ball fall at his feet and his strike slipped through the hands of Brad Jones before ending in the net.

After the break Giovanni van Bronckhorst introduced Steven Berghuis from the bench and he played a role in the equaliser on 80 minutes. The wingers shot ended up on the post and from the rebound Kuyt also hit the woodwork but Nicolai Jorgensen followed up with a tap in.

The game was heading for a draw but in injury time Jorgensen’s strike hit the post and Kramer followed up to seal victory for the leaders who made it nine wins from nine.
