martins indi cNEC had the first opportunity of the game, but Michael Higdon could not finish past Erwin Mulder when put through one on one with the keeper.

Lex Immers had the first chance for the visitors but his half volley inside the box flew wide of the post, but the midfielder made up for the missed chance, by opening the scoring on 26 minutes, as he headed in a Ruben Schaken cross.

The lead only lasted four minutes, as Samuel Stefanik took advantage of slack Feyenoord defending to net from close range, after a scramble in the box.

In the second half, Graziano Pelle twice hit the woodwork, firstly with a low shot from outside the box which clipped the post, before he rattled the crossbar, when free inside the area.

At the hour mark, Jean Paul Boetius made his long awaited return from injury, and the winger only needed less than ten minutes to find the net, keeping cool when put through by Immers to make it 2-1.

Once again the lead did not last long, as a free kick was flapped at by Mulder, and when the ball came back of the post, Victor Palsson was free to tap into the net.

On 77 minutes, NEC were in front, with Stefanik netting his second, with a powerful drive into the corner from inside the box, to mark his debut with two goals.

NEC were desperate to hold on, but in the 90th minute, a Boetius cross caused mayhem in the box, and Bruno Martins Indi was on hand to fire in the equaliser from close range.

Both sides will be disappointed, especially Feyenoord, who had a number of chances to bury their opponents.
