Feyenoord have confirmed that left-back Miquel Nelom has joined Sparta Rotterdam on loan for the rest of the season.

Nelom was linked with Sheffield Wednesday and Birmingham City earlier in the window but a move to England broke down. The 27-year-old will instead join up with Dick Advocaat’s Sparta Rotterdam until the end of the season.
Nelom has made 157 appearances for Feyenoord’s first team but became third choice left-back at the club this season behind Ridgeciano Haps and Tyrell Malacia.
The defender’s contract at Feyenoord expires in the summer and he will become a free agent once his loan deal ends.
