The coronavirus crisis has seen Netherlands friendlies this month and in the summer all called off, along with Euro 2020. However, Ronald Koeman’s side have UEFA Nations League matches later this year.
However, FIFA vice-president Victor Montagliani does not expect any international matches to be played until 2021.
Montagliani told the international news agency AP, “I think international football will be a challenge in 2020. Not only because of the health situation around the world and the different ways in which countries deal with it, but also because we cannot travel again immediately if we can play football. The club competitions will be a priority. The September international period is still on the agenda, but I am not sure it is feasible.”
