or wcAfter a training camp in Portugal this week, coach Louis van Gaal has whittled his squad down from the original 30 that was named earlier this month. Seven names have now been cut this morning, with the official list of players on the plane to Brazil released.

Hamburg midfielder Rafael van der Vaart was forced out through injury, while the four players who dropped into the U21’s, Karim Rekik, Jean Paul Boetius, Tonny Vilhena, and Quincy Promes all miss out. The other two dropped from the squad are PSV goalkeeper Jeroen Zoet, and Chelsea left back Patrick van Aanholt.

Youngster Terence Kongolo is the surprise inclusion in the squad, while the likes of Arjen Robben, Wesley Sneijder, and Robin van Persie all make the plane, as expected.
