The KNVB have confirmed on Tuesday that Netherlands will face the Republic of Ireland in a friendly next year.

Danny Blind’s side will travel to Dublin on the 27th of May next year to face the Irish at the Aviva Stadium.

The Republic of Ireland will use the tie as a warm up for the 2016 European Championships, where they have been drawn in a group with Sweden, Belgium and Italy.

Its the third friendly already confirmed for Netherlands, who will not be present at the Euro’s next year, with ties against England and France already booked in.
