The draw for the U21 European Championships group stage took place on Thursday.

Netherlands will face Germany, Romania and Hungary at the European Championships next year.

Erwin van de Looi’s side qualified after an excellent qualifying campaign which saw them take 27 points out of 30 games.

Netherlands will play their group games in Hungary with the matches starting in March. Romania is Netherlands first opponent on the 24th of March, with Germany lying in wait three days later. Jong Oranje end their campaign against Hungary on the 30th.

The top two teams in the group progress to the knockout stages which will take place later in the year.
