The last release saw Netherlands sitting in 36th, which is an all time low for the Dutch national team. However, Dick Advocaat’s Oranje have now shot up seven places and are now 29th.

It is a positive step in the right direction for Oranje and could provide crucial should Netherlands reach the World Cup qualifying play-offs, which are seeded.

Germany have now overtaken Brazil to sit top of the rankings, while Portugal, Argentina, Belgium, Poland, Switzerland, France, Chile and Colombia round off the top ten.
