ould-chikh oThe 19-year-old was born in Roosendaal and has represented the Netherlands at several youth levels, but now seems to have turned his back on the Oranje for Morocco.

Ould-Chikh was seen as the gem of the FC Twente academy for years, and made his debut for the first team last season, scoring once in nineteen games. However the Enschede’s money issues saw the club sell Ould-Chikh to Benfica in the summer. The winger is yet to make his first team debut in Portugal and currently plays for Benfica’s reserves.

Ould-Chikh has made fifteen appearances for the Dutch Under-19’s, but was sent home from the squad by coach Aron Winter in November for unprofessional behaviour.

Morocco U20’s play Qatar in two practice matches at the end of this month and Ould Chikh will join the squad. He could become the second big talent to switch his allegiance from Netherlands to the African nation after Hakim Ziyech last year.
