Netherlands U17’s got their qualifying campaign for next summer’s Euro’s back on track with a 2-1 win over Wales on Saturday.

Earlier in the week, Netherlands got their campaign off to a poor start with a 1-1 draw against Kosovo.

Netherlands seemed on course for another poor result when Ryan Viggars gave Wales the lead with a penalty just before the break.

However, Xavi Simons equalised for the young Oranje side just five minutes into the second half with a placed finish. Then AZ youngster Yusuf Barasi sealed Netherlands win ten minutes from time with a fierce strike that cannoned in off the underside of the bar.

Netherlands now have four points from their opening games and now face Slovenia on Tuesday with a win needed to seal a place in the elite round.
