Goals from Omar Rekik and Jasper Dahlhaus gave Netherlands U18’s a 2-0 win over Italy’s U18’s in Katwijk.

The clash against Italy was Netherlands U18’s last fixture of the season and Mischa Visser’s were determined for a good result.

Chances were few and far between in the first half but ten minutes into the second period, Borussia Dortmund Immanuel Pherai put a great chance wide.

Feyenoord goalkeeper Joey Koorevaar then made several key saves to deny Italy before Netherlands eventually took the lead in the 76th minute. A corner was headed into the net by Hertha Berlin youngster Omar Rekik, brother of Karim.

Vitesse striker Jasper Dahlhaus then came off the bench to seal the victory just before the end from the penalty spot after a handball.
