Netherlands U19’s have qualified for the elite round of qualifying for next summer’s European Championships after a 8-2 win over Latvia.

Netherlands began their campaign with a simple 5-0 win over Moldova earlier this week and on Friday they were far too strong for Latvia.

After only six minutes, Hertha Berlin striker Daishawn Redan made it 1-0 with a penalty before Cyrsencio Summerville, who is on loan at ADO Den Haag from Feyenoord made it 2-0.

Roberts Zelmanis pulled one back in the 12th minute, but Netherlands eased into half-time with a 6-1 lead. Summerville completed his hat-trick, while Feyenoord duo Wouter Burger and Marouan Azarkan also netted.

In the second half, Summerville got his fourth to make it 7-1 before Azarkan got his second. Eduards Daskevics got a consolation back before the end.

Netherlands have now sealed their place in the next round of qualifying with one game to go against Israel on Monday.
