Jong Oranje has already qualified for the European Championships but are still in a battle with Portugal for the top spot in the group. A victory over Belarus was crucial on Sunday heading into their clash on Wednesday.
Netherlands were on top from the start but had to wait until the 31st minute to score through Kaj Sierhuis. A minute later, Myron Boadu directed Sergey Volkov’s attempted clearance into the net to make it 2-0.
Boadu fired in the third two minutes into the second half, before Sierhuis tapped in the fourth. The Stade de Reim’s striker than completed his hat-trick with seven minutes left to complete the scoring.
