The report states that Newcastle United have the most concrete interest in the 23-year-old, having contacted Ajax over his availability in January. However, Leicester City have also sent scouts to the Amsterdam Arena on a bi-weekly basis in order to keep tabs with the tall defender.
Dijks only rejoined Ajax from Willem II in the summer, but his career is moving fast with Danny Blind naming him in his provisional squad for Netherlands upcoming friendlies with England and France. Should Dijks make the final squad, there would certainly be a number of Premier League scouts keen to see him in action at Wembley.
Dijks, who is a tall and powerful left back, has made 24 Eredivisie appearances this season, contributing six assists.
