ADO Den Haag came away from Heracles Almelo with a 1-1 draw on Saturday evening.

ADO Den Haag began the game brightly with Lex Immers hitting the post in the third minute before Elson Hooi also went close. In the 21st minute, the visitors did take the lead through Bjorn Johnsen, who powerfully shot into the net off the underside of the bar.
Before the break, Heracles dominated possession but the closest they came for an equaliser was a Vincent Vermeij effort which was kept out by Robert Zwinkels.
Ten minutes into the second half, Heracles were level when Reuven Niemeijer combined with Brandley Kuwas and then Vermeij before firing into the top corner.
Tom Beugelsdijk went close to restoring ADO Den Haag’s lead but before the end it was Heracles who took control. Zwinkels spectacularly kept out Monteiro’s strike before Vermeij missed three good chances.
Both sides settled for a point in the end which keeps ADO Den Haag 9th while Heracles are 12th.
