The Championship side wanted to sign Dijks permanently in January but the player was unsure on the deal and instead opted for a loan, which includes an option for a transfer.

Speaking to De Telegraaf, his agent Dick van Burick has confirmed that Norwich want to trigger the option, The club wants to use the option to buy.”

The decision will now be down to Dijks, who has a contract in Amsterdam until 2018. With Norwich unlikely to be promoted will he choose to remain at the Canaries or look at other options in the summer?
