The 23-year-old was first choice left back for Ajax last season, but since Peter Bosz took over in the summer, Daley Sinkgraven has been preferred to Dijks.
It now appears that Dijks could be heading out of Amsterdam with Norwich City entering talks with Ajax over a deal. The Championship side are desperate to sign a new left back this January and have already been heavily linked with another Dutchman, Marvin Zeegelaar, of Sporting Lisbon.
Dijks started his career with Ajax but left in 2014 to sign for Willem II before returning to the Amsterdam Arena a year later. He made 39 appearances for the club last season but has only been used 12 times in the Eredivisie during this campaign.
