It became clear last week that Dolberg’s time at Ajax was coming to an end. The only question was whether his departure would be permanent or on loan.
Hoffenheim were linked but Dolberg’s future is set to be in France with OGC Nice. According to VI, the Ligue 1 side have agreed an oral fee which will rise to €25 million for the 21-year-old.
A five-year contract is waiting for Dolberg in France and a deal should be wrapped up early this week after the forward undergoes a medical.
Ajax are not set to sign a replacement for the Dane. Erik ten Hag will rely on Dusan Tadic, Klaas Jan Huntelaar, along with youngsters Lassina Traore and Danilo.
I think that’s a good move for Doldbeg who two years ago everyone was scouting but past 2 seasons & last especially he has struggled. So good amount for AJAX to get imo compared to is recent performances & they could go buy a young talnted CF for a lot less or promote Huntelaar & Tadic have striker down.
And I think its a good move for Dolberg unlike Henry; Viera have done well at Nice, plays youth & has a solid squad who can create for him.
