john abJohn has been a key figure for Benfica this season, scoring four goals in 36 appearances, including the winner in the Portuguese cup final on Friday evening. Earlier in the day, John’s agent and older brother Collins John told Voetbal International broke the news that the 23-year-old is set to complete a move to Premier League side Swansea City.

Collins John said, “It has always been a dream of Ola’s to play in the Premier League,”

“Some other clubs in the Premier League were interested, but Ola had the best feeling with Swansea City.

“Last season Swansea already tried to sign Ola, but the transfer failed at the very last moment. The club followed him after that in the hope of agreeing a contract with him. That moment is very close.”

The fee for the winger is said to be around £6 million, with John set to sign a five-year-deal.
