The 22-year-old sealed a move to Ligue 1 side Nantes from Ajax on deadline day but won’t spend the season with the French side coached by Claudio Ranieri.
Instead, Menig has sealed a move to English League one side Oldham Athletic, where he will spend the rest of the campaign on loan.
The forward told the official Oldham Athletic website, “It feels good to be here finally and I’m looking forward to showing the fans what I can do.
“England is a big country to play football in and now I have the chance to show everyone what I am made of. I can take players on, I am a quick player and I want to help the team as much as I can.”
Menig came through the Ajax academy but only made three Eredivisie appearances for the club. He spent the last two seasons on loan with PEC Zwolle, scoring 15 goals in 66 league games.
menig had a good season last year with pec zwolle i thought he would be a squad rotation player in ajax this year but i dont know the reason why he left ajax
For me, he’s too good for League One in England.
Wasn’t a bad player at all in the Eredivisie. Step down.
