Voetbal International believes that Andre Onana may remain at Ajax this summer if the club do not receive a suitable offer.

Last week, Onana announced that he wanted to leave Ajax this summer, with his agent Albert Botines then stating that Barcelona had made an approach. Borussia Dortmund, Chelsea and PSG have also been linked.

VI is reporting that Ajax are not impressed by the games being played by Botines, and that no club has yet made an offer for the goalkeeper.

It is also not being ruled out that Onana may remain in Amsterdam if a club does not make a suitable offer for the Cameroon international, despite an agreement in place between the two parties that a transfer this summer is possible.

VI adds that Ajax have stated both Onana and his agent are being driven wild by clubs asking whether the agreements made means an offer below the €40 million asking price is possible. Ajax know that the corona virus outbreak will effect the transfer market, but they will not accept an offer that is far below their asking price, and they are not interested in swap deals.

VI states that Onana has to be patient this summer and its possible that a club gets desperate later in the window and offers Ajax what they want.
