FC Twente are four points adrift at the bottom of the Eredivisie with only three matches remaining.

Assaidi said, ”Sometimes I try to play too much and I gave the ball away for the ADO Den Haag equalizer. I take full responsibility for my actions. I also gave my apologies to my teammates at half-time.

”We gave the second goal away and if we would have picked up a point here tonight it would have been a good result.

”We have 3 matches left in what has been a painful and frustrating season I have not often experienced this in my career. So long as there still a chance is we must keep fighting. You have seen the comebacks in the Champions League recently.

”The gap between Sparta Rotterdam and us is only 4 points and we must be ready and we must win our home match against PEC Zwolle on Tuesday.”
