Marc Overmars has signed a new contract with Ajax keeping him at the club until 2024.

Overmars has been the football affairs director at Ajax since the summer of 2012 but has recently been linked with his former club Ajax.
Reports in England over the weekend stated that Overmars was keen on leaving Amsterdam for a director of football role at Arsenal, but that rumours seems to have been put to bed. Overmars has now signed a new deal with Ajax until 2024.
He told the Ajax website, “I’m having a good time here. We are taking steps with both the youth academy and the first team. From a sports point of view, we still want to show a lot. What is also important to me is that it is pleasant to work with the people around me. I get pleasure and satisfaction from that.”
