According to Voetbal International, Panathinaikos is hoping to sign Eljero Elia this summer.

The winger is set to leave Istanbul Basaksehir this summer with his contract expiring. Elia has been heavily linked with a move to ADO Den Haag, FC Twente, and FC Groningen. Arjen Robben even sent the forward a message to try and convince him to choose the Euroborg.

However, clubs outside the Netherlands are also showing interest in the former Feyenoord and Juventus winger, including Panathinaikos. According to VI, the Greek side’s chairman is a big fan of Elia and is hoping to capture him.

The 33-year-old would join Bart Schenkeveld and Yassin Ayoub if he decided to choose Panathinaikos.
