The loss on Saturday was Sparta Rotterdam’s fourth successive Eredivisie defeat and leaves the club second bottom in the table. However, Pastoor is not fearing the sack.

He said, ”4-0 is a terrible result for us and also in the way in which we conceded the goals.

”We had chances at crucial points in the game tonight and you know that in De Kuip and here in the ArenA that you do not get many chances.

”I thought we started the second half with too much confidence in terms of going forward and we were perhaps naive too.

”I believe that I have time here at Sparta Rotterdam. I am not concerned about my position as manager.”
