veld nuhVeldwijk is PEC Zwolle’s top scorer this season with 13 goals and the club are hoping to make his loan deal permanent this summer.

The agreement with Nottingham Forest contains a fixed transfer fee, but this sum is too high for PEC Zwolle and they are hoping to convince the English club to lower their demands.

PEC Zwolle director Gerard Nijkamp told VI on the chances of a deal, “The chances of it happening I estimate at fifty percent. If we get the feeling that we are in Nottingham flogging a dead horse, we will divert. ”

The situation is made harder by the fact that Nottingham Forest currently don’t have a manager after the sacking of Dougie Freedman. Any new appointment may want to give Veldwijk another chance in the English Championship.
