PEC Zwolle made Sparta Rotterdam pay for Mica Pinto’s red card as they ran out 4-0 winners.

Both sides went into the game looking for their first win of the season, and confidence was short on both sides of the pitch.

The first half was a poor affair until injury time as Mica Pinto was shown a red card for a handball on the goalline. Reza Ghoochannejhad scored the resulting penalty kick to make it 1-0.

Two minutes into the second half, Ghoochannejhad tapped in a corner to make it 2-0 before Clint Leemans added a third with a shot high into the net.

Yuta Nakayama then completed the rout in the 74th minute with a header.

PEC Zwolle book their first win of the season, but its troubling times for Sparta Rotterdam, who are yet to get a point.
