PEC Zwolle have moved into third spot after a 2-0 win over ADO Den Haag.

The home side were taken to extra-time in the KNVB Cup midweek, but there was no sign of any tiredness as PEC Zwolle came out full of energy and took the lead on six minutes. A fortunate deflection meant the ball landed at the feet of Piotr Parzyszek, who fired into the net.

Four minutes later it was 2-0 as Younes Namli dribbled unchallenged towards the box before unleashing a low strike into the bottom corner.

ADO Den Haag improved after the second goal, but they struggled to trouble the PEC Zwolle defence, while the hosts remained dangerous on the counter-attack.

The second half saw no further goals with both sides passing up chances, while ADO Den Haag were denied a penalty for a foul on Erik Falkenburg.

The win moves PEC Zwolle above Vitesse into third, while ADO Den Haag are 10th.
