Gaston Pereiro could still be leaving PSV Eindhoven this month with Cagliari hoping to strike a deal for the Uruguayan.

The midfielder was wanted by MLS side FC Cincinatti earlier in the window but Pereiro turned down the move in order to remain in Europe.
Links to Aston Villa have gone nowhere but it appears that a move to Italy could be on the cards. According to Sky Italia’s Gianluca Di Marzio, Cagliari wants to sign Pereiro.
The 24-year-old’s agent Paco Casal will be in Italy on Tuesday to conclude talks with the side that currently sits sixth in Serie A.
Pereiro only has six months left on his deal in Eindhoven and can reportedly leave for around €2.5 million.
