Ajax manager Peter Bosz spoke in his press conference about how proud he was of his players to shows guts and dare to play football in the way they did in booking their place in the Europa League final.

Ajax will play Manchester United in the final on May 24th in the Friends Arena in Stockholm after a 5-4 aggregate win over Lyon.

Speaking after the 3-1 second leg defeat in Lyon, Bosz said, ”It was a strange semi-final 2nd leg. We scored and also created chances after that. I believe that the game was turned on it’s head just before half-time with the Lyon penalty and then Lyon scoring again only a minute later.

”At half-time I told them how proud I was of them playing in such a way in this stadium and supporters. I also told them at that point that Lyon need to score two goals just to take it to extra time.

”Over two games with have shown that we deserve to be in the final and if you reach the final you must win it.”
