Olympique Lyon has officially sacked Peter Bosz as their head coach.

The writing has been on the wall for a while with Bosz under pressure for a number of weeks. After the draw against Toulouse on Saturday, Lyon had not won any of their last five games.

The Ligue 1 side have now confirmed that the Dutchman has been sacked as head coach and replaced by Laurent Blanc.

Bosz had been in charge of Lyon since the start of last season but he never really impressed with the French side. He missed out on European football last season and the club currently sits 9th.
