Feyenoord have confirmed that defender Bruno Martins Indi has joined FC Porto on a four-year deal.

indi ,aThe 22-year-old centre back, who was born in Portugal will move to Porto after the club agreed a fee of €7.7 million with Feyenoord.

Martins Indi made his debut for Feyenoord in 2010 and has gone on to make 102 league appearances for the club, whilst earning 22 caps for the Netherlands national team.

Interest in Martins Indi increased in recent weeks with the defender part of the Dutch squad that reached the semi-finals of the World Cup, but Porto have won the battle for his signature.

Speaking to the official Feyenoord site, Martins Indi said, “To me, this feels like the right time to leave,”

“I have now played over a hundred games for the club and played in a World Cup.

“Besides a special thanks to my teammates, I would also like to thank the Legion (Feyenoord fans) for their unconditional support,”

“Especially for a guy like me, the Rotterdam supporters with their support had a positive effect on my performance. I am sure that in the future many more players, especially the boys from their own youth, can benefit from the unique interaction between the team and the supporters. “
