The 19-year-old joins PSV on a free transfer from Peruvian club Sporting Cristal, with Da Silva signing a two-and-a-half year deal which keeps him at the Philips Stadion until 2018.
Da Silva is the third Peruvian to represent the Eindhoven club, and will go into PSV’s U21 squad. Speaking to the PSV website, Da Silva spoke of his desire to follow in the footsteps of fellow Peruvian Jefferson Farfan, who was a fan favourite at PSV.
He said, “He (Farfan) is a role model to me. He is a great player and has become a household name in Eindhoven. I’m delighted to sign for a big club like PSV.”
The forward made 21 appearances for Sporting Cristal, and has represented his country at various youth levels.
