An agreement between PSV and Valencia to make Guardado’s loan deal permanent was announced in March, but the midfielder has now put pen to paper on his three-year-deal.
Guardado told the official PSV website, “This is very special day in my career for me and my family. I am delighted to have signed a new contract. I can now look back at the wonderful year I had, both on and off the pitch. I hope for more of the same next season. I am really happy in my private life and could not ask for more.”
PSV director Marcel Brands added, “Andrés is an outstanding player for PSV and the Dutch Eredivisie. His attitude and drive have been the key to our successes and he has played a prominent part in winning the title. He likes life in Eindhoven and he has already stolen the hearts of the PSV fans.”
The 28-year-old has made 26 league appearances this season, scoring once.
