PSV have confirmed the signing of Argentinian striker Maximiliano Romero from Vélez Sarsfield.

The Eredivisie leaders had agreed a fee believed to be around €8 million with Vélez Sarsfield earlier in the week and put the finishing touches on the deal on Thurday.
Romero has signed a five-year contract which will take effect in the summer. However, PSV are looking into the possibility of signing the 18-year-old on loan in January to get him to Eindhoven sooner.
The striker has netted four times in ten games this season with PSV beating off competition from Stuttgart and Borussia Dortmund to sign the youngster.
