The duo were out celebrating PSV’s 3-2 win over PEC Zwolle on Saturday night when they were involved in a fight at a taxi rank around 4.15am.
It is being reported by AD that Maxime Lestienne was the one who started the brawl, while Zoet was detained for trying to stop the Belgian winger’s arrest. Two women and a man were also taken to the police station for trying to stop Lestienne’s arrest. Both players were released on Sunday and the victim has not filed a report with the police.
PSV have announced that they will launch an internal investigation into the incident and it will remain private.
