The clash between 1st and third in the league was never a close tie from the start with PSV taking the lead after only three minutes as Davy Propper fired into the bottom corner past Bram Castro.
The Heracles keeper then kept the away side in the game with four good saves to deny both Luuk de Jong and Marco van Ginkel. However, before the break theĀ goalkeeper was finally beaten againĀ as Ramon Zomer was punished for bringing down Jeffrey Bruma and Gaston Pereiro slotted in the resulting penalty.
In the second half PSV continued to create chances but Castro was equal to a Pereiro header, while Luciano Narsingh clipped the ball wide after a mazy run into the box. At the other end Heracles were unable to test Jeroen Zoet and PSV comfortably held on for the win.
PSV now sit four points ahead of Ajax, who host Excelsior on Sunday while Heracles drop to 4th.
Just hope these wins keep on coming. It’s more than likely that Ajax will beat Excelsior and what worries me is that when will Ajax slip away. Good job we’ve still got to play them at home. #BOERUH
