PSV Eindhoven came from behind to comfortably defeat PEC Zwolle 4-1.

After the cup win in midweek, Ernest Faber took charge of his first Eredivisie game since becoming PSV Eindhoven boss. Timo Baumgartl, Jorrit Hendrix and Jordan Teze all started, while Cody Gakpo was the striker.

In the 12th minute, Daniel Schwaab’s awful pass was intercepted by Mustafa Saymak and the midfielder fired PEC Zwolle in front. However, the lead only lasted six minutes before Hendrix found the bottom corner after being found by Steven Bergwijn.

In the 26th minute, Bergwijn then set up Mohamed Ihattaren to curl PSV Eindhoven ahead with a great effort.

At half-time, Bruma came on for Hendix and the Portuguese forward made it 3-1 in the 51st minute with a finish on the rebound.

Gakpo then slalomed his way through the PEC Zwolle defence to add a fourth and final goal for the hosts in the 72nd minute.

PSV moves up to third with the win while PEC Zwolle are 15th.
