According to Eindhoven Dagblad, PSV Eindhoven have made their move to sign midfielder Davy Propper from Vitesse Arnhem.

propper vtPSV coach Phillip Cocu is on the lookout for a new midfielder this summer, with Oscar Hiljemark and Marcel Ritzmaier surplus to requirements, while captain Georginio Wijnaldum is set to leave after interest from Newcastle United, and Zenit st Petersburg.

Cocu has identified Vitesse star Davy Propper as his number one target, and Eindhoven Dagblad is reporting that talks have already been held between the coach and player. A deal will be swift if Wijnaldum’s exit is confirmed, and would likely cost PSV between €5-8 million.

Propper made 38 appearances for Vitesse this season, scoring five goals and adding four assists. The 23-year-old also made his Netherlands debut in the friendly defeat to USA earlier this month.
