PSV Eindhoven have completed the signing of Adrian Fein on loan from Bayern Munich with an option to make it permanent.

The defensive midfielder spent last season on loan with Hamburg in the 2. Bundesliga, and now heads to Eindhoven with PSV.

It is an initial loan deal for the 21-year-old, but PSV have the option to make the deal permanent.

The German told the club’s website, “After a year of fighting for promotion to the Bundesliga with Hamburger SV, this is a perfect next step in my development.

“It is now important for me to work at the highest level. At PSV we are going to play for the prizes and there are also European ambitions. Those were decisive factors for me to choose this club. And of course it is nice that Roger Schmidt has a trainer with a great reputation. That also played a role for me.”

Fein made 31 league appearances for Hamburg last season, scoring once.
