PSV Eindhoven are looking to strengthen their squad with the signings of Vitesse goalkeeper Eloy Room and Fortuna Sittard defender Perr Schuurs.

According to Voetbal International, PSV want to sign an experienced goalkeeper to act as back-up to Jeroen Zoet and have contacted Vitesse Arnhem over signing Eloy Room.

The 28-year-old only has one year left on his contract in Arnhem and has been replaced by former PSV goalkeeper Remko Pasveer as the club’s first choice. He was linked with Everton earlier in the window, but is now expected to seal a move to Eindhoven in the coming days.

PSV are also in talks to sign Fortuna Sittard’s highly rated centre-back Perr Schuurs, who spent time on loan with Liverpool earlier in the summer. Marcel Brands has personally watched the youngster in action and his father confirmed to De Limburger that the 17-year-old’s agent will speak with PSV.

Lambert Schuurs said, “I understand that Perr’s agent is going to talk to PSV.

“At home we regularly talk about his future.

“Perr knows very well what he wants. At the moment he feels very close to Fortuna.”
