guarThe 27-year-old underwent his medical examination on Monday before signing his contract until the end of the season, with Guardado taking the number 18 shirt.

Guardado, who can play either in midfield or at left back, spent five years with Deportivo la Coruna before joining Valencia in 2012. In two years at the Mestalla, Guardado has appeared in 48 league matches, scoring once, while he spent a part of last season on loan with Bayer Leverkusen.

Speaking to PSV’s official website, Guardado said, “I am very pleased and look forward to a great season, in which I want to play for the trophies. This is a great club.”

Guardado could make his debut against Vitesse Arnhem on Sunday.
