PSV Eindhoven are looking to strengthen their midfield with the signing of young Dutchman Xavi Simons.

Simons has played eleven times for the first-team of PSG, but he has an expiring contract which means his future is up in the air.

PSG wants to renew the 19-year-old’s deal but Eindhovens Dagblad is reporting that PSV Eindhoven are hoping to convince Simons to join the club. PSV hopes that Simons can fill the void left by the departure of Mario Gotze.

The former Barcelona youth and Netherlands U19 international is wanted by a number of clubs so it remains seen whether PSV can convince him to make the move to Eindhoven.
