Roger Schmidt wants to add some experience to his defence and he has turned to Ramlho, who he has worked with at both Bayer Leverkusen and Red Bull Salzburg.
The 29-year-old is coming into the final year of his contract in Austria and PSV would be able to pick up the Brazilian for a smaller transfer fee.
Ramalho has made 239 appearances for Red Bull Salzburg and would add experience to the PSV defence. Schmidt could deploy Ramalho in the centre and move Jordan Teze to the right of the defence if Denzel Dumfries departs.
