PSV Eindhoven remain top of the table after a simple 3-0 win over NEC Nijmegen.

PSV NEC SAjax’s win over ADO Den Haag earlier on Sunday piled the pressure onto PSV, but Phillip Cocu’s men were never really troubled in a snowy Nijmegen.

After only 16 minutes PSV had the lead with Jetro Willem’s cross finding Luuk de Jong in the box and the striker calmly netted his seventeenth league goal of the season.

Without suspended top scorer Christian Santos NEC rarely troubled Jeroen Zoet in the PSV goal and it seemed like only a matter of time before PSV added a second, with both Jürgen Locadia and Luciano Narsingh going close before the break.

Locadia hadn’t netted a league goal in four months, but he doubled PSV’s lead on 67 minutes with a close range header, before the attacker set up Marco van Ginkel to seal the victory soon after. It was Van Ginkel’s second in two games since his return to the Eredivisie.

PSV remain top while NEC sit 7th.
