PSV Eindhoven will face FC Basel in the Champions League second qualifying round.

PSV only had two possible opponents in the draw on Wednesday. Basel or Greek side Olympiacos and it was the Swiss side that was drawn in Nyon.

On the 23rd or 24th of July, PSV will host the Swiss side that finished second in their league behind Young Boys. The away leg is a week later.

Against Basel, PSV will come up against Dutch striker Ricky van Wolfswinkel and former ADO Den Haag goalkeeper Martin Hansen, who once scored a last minute equaliser against the Eindhoven club.

If PSV overcome Basel they could face one of Linz, Istanbul Basaksehir, Club Brugge and FC Krasnodar in the next round. A win would also ensure they would at least take part in the Europa League group stages.
