The position’s that the club are looking to bolster are central defence; where they want two players, a Midfielder and a wide attacker.
Belgian International Steven Defour is club’s midfield option and Speaking to NIS Gerbrands said,
“We are working with him, the player wants to come. Apart from between PSV and FC Porto there are also investment companies involved. Marcel Brands has already indicated that PSV has a border. We pay well, but no mega amounts.”
The general manager also touched on the topic of former loanee Karim Rekik.
“We would love to have him for another season, the trade-off between speed and patience is a dilemma. Then we prefer to wait another week, If Defour and Rekik are not feasible, then PSV has a plan B. “We go first for the best, but if that fails, then the other names are ready”
Gerbrands also added that they have a budget of five million euros and they will conclude business with that figure only.
