According to reports in England on Tuesday, Jaap Stam is set to be announced as the new head coach of Reading FC by the end of this week.

The 43-year-old has been linked with the English club ever since Brian McDermott was sacked at the end of May, and according to the Daily Mail, Stam will be confirmed as the new Reading coach this week on a two-year contract.
The Championship club would be Stam’s first major coaching job having left his role with Jong Ajax at the end of the season. Reading finished 17th in the Championship last season, and Stam will be aiming to guide the club back to the Premier League.
