John Brooks is set to leave Hertha to sign for Wolfsburg and the club have set their sights on Karim Rekik as his replacement. According to Berliner Zeitung he has already been in Berlin for talks.

The 22-year-old centre back barely featured for Marseille last season, with the Dutch international making ten league appearances, all of which came in the first half of the campaign.

Marseille don’t want to lose the €5 million they paid Manchester City to sign Rekik two years ago, but that fee should be no issue for Hertha as Brooks is set to earn them around €17 million.
