Frank Rijkaard has once again insisted that he is retired and will not return to any job in football.

The 56-year-old former Netherlands and Barcelona boss left his last coaching role with Saudi Arabia back in 2013. Speaking to Ajax Life, Rijkaard has stated he has no intention to return to management.

He said, “I have been a trainer for fourteen years, that was enough for me.

“I have had successes, experienced disappointments. I have closed it, and can now enjoy the sport very openly and independently. I do not miss the pressure at all.”

Rijkaard has been linked with a backroom role at Ajax, but he has ruled out any role in football, “That’s really not going to happen anymore. I’ve been out of it for four or five years now. It completely fits my character: when I’m out, I’m really out,”
